As the first family I stayed with when I arrived in Nepal, I have to say that they gave me a very friendly feeling of welcome to the country. First impressions are often crucial and I am grateful that these were at Ganga's house, there where I was introduced to the national dish called Dal bhat, there where I contemplated magnificent views of the city of Kathmandu from the terrace, there where I shared talks about the way of life of our respective cultures, and it is because their English is very good and everyone can communicate with them without problems. This couple is very attentive to you and they care that you have time to get to know the neighborhood and the beautiful temples that are in it. I couldn't think of a better start than this for the trip I made
The hosts in Kirtipur Community Homestay are mostly Newars. Though they have the same cultural background they have different professions and lifestyles.
