Tansen is located in the Palpa District, around 300 km from Kathmandu. You can reach the coffee plantation by:

Private Car/Taxi: The drive from Kathmandu to Tansen takes approximately 8–9 hours and offers scenic views along the way.

Public Bus: Regular buses run from Kathmandu or Pokhara to Tansen; the journey takes around 8 hours from Kathmandu and 5 hours from Pokhara.

Tourist Shuttle: Pre-arranged shuttles can be booked for a comfortable and direct trip to Tansen.

Once in Tansen, the coffee plantation is a short drive or walk from the Tansen Community Homestay.

Does the homestay provide drinking water?

Yes, your hosts will provide boiled water, which is safe to drink. We encourage guests to opt for boiled water instead of plastic bottles to help protect the environment.
