Bardia is sinonymous to Tharu. “Tharu” is an indigenous tribe following very rich culture and tradition. In the evening, the community conducts culture program where they perform different famous Tharu dances like stick dance, peacock dance and many more. It is for about 1 hour. The event ends with the request for dance to the guests where you will be playfully invited to dance with this tribe.


The local people are very determined in keeping their culture and tradition alive.They like to dance and play music which is very much blended with the nature and atmosphere there. With the traditional drums made out of fine wood and hides produce sound that announces the identity of a Tharu. In festivals like Tihar,  

almost everyone in the village or a community come together and dance with their colorful 

to a plain white attire. The girls look so rich with artistic siver ornaments all over their body. With this cultural dance you will get opportunity to live just like it is the main festival of the place. And this is the force of community's energy that has kept the ancient culture alive even today.
